The goals of Zonta International are as follows:

-Provide service at the global and local levels
-Improve the legal, political, economic, educational, health and professional status of women
-Work for the advancement and understanding, goodwill and peace through a world fellowship of executives in business and the professions
-Promote justice and universal respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms and
-Be united internationally to foster high ethical standards, implement service programs, and provide mutual support and fellowship for members who serve their communities, their nations and the world community

Zonta is an international NGO which contributes to raising the awareness of womens issues at the United Naitons as well as in the eyes of the local public. At the UN, Zonta has General Consulatative Status with the Economic and Social Council. Over 1,200 Zonta clubs are spread all over the world including more than 33,000 members (female and male) in 68 countries and geographical areas!
